Well, I did make a card tonight. Not much stamping on it, though, as the rose is a vellum cut-out.

Tuesday Jan 29, 2008

Today was very icy outside. I had to go to the Dentist this morning and almost took my life in my hands walking down the hill. There was water on top of the ice, too, and I certainly didn't want to fall, getting hurt and soaking wet in the process. I managed to get there in one piece. I had a large filling replaced and I was frozen even up in my right nostril! What a strange feeling.
I was going to stamp this afternoon, but couldn't get in the mood. I did address Julie's valentine and send it off to her. Her Jeff is away working in Newfoundland for six weeks, and she is only in Week One of him being away. She misses him terribly, so I thought some mail would perk her up.
I also made some goodies for my SU workshop on Sunday. Hope we don't get any storms on the weekend. I want my order to go in as soon as possible. That's it for today!

This is a card I made for Inkstainers Weekly Challenge. The challenge was to make a winter or Christmas card with a unique fold. Here's mine. The paper is Figgy Pudding, Stamp set SU "Snowy Play", and Great Impressions Snowflake Swirl:

Yay! I figured out how to edit a post, so now I'm rolling. Watch out! I also added the clock feature. I think this is a neat looking one, very antiquish! Is that a word? LOL Now I can see just how long I've been working on this site or browsing SplitCoasters. Very useful....

I don't know yet how to go in an edit a post, so I'm adding another note. On the second valentine, the queen card image is painted with Twinkling H20's and I also put Red Stickles on bits of the flowers. It is so sparkly in real life!

I started this blog about a year ago, then never did anything more with it. After reading someone else' blog this morning, I decided to 'tweak' it a bit adding my picture and a celtic banner to the top. I never had a diary when I was teenager, so I don't know how this blogger thing is going to work for me.

Probably I will just upload cards I made. Speaking of which, I made two valentine cards this past weekend. The first one is for my daughter Julie, and the second for a friend.
